Losing a loved one is never easy and all the paperwork and things to do can feel overwhelming before even thinking about their digital assets. Now days everyone has multiple devices their using to access email, social media, and countless other accounts.

Here at Inter-Quest, we can assist with data recovery from computers so long as you are legally authorized to obtain it. However, lots of data is now stored in the cloud behind account passwords. So, if you are unable to access the accounts it may be necessary to contact the companies with a death certificate and proof that you are the next of kin to try to obtain that information. Below are some helpful links to major tech companies’ data request pages.

Please be aware that there are scams out there that try to take advantage of people in this situation. We highly recommend working directly with the companies that you need data from or with a lawyer that specializes in this field.
